Public sector
About the sector
Increasing demands from customers and users of public services and bodies. This implies that managers must lead teams (often interdisciplinary ones) with a high level of professional competencies. Recruiting technical specialists in a limited market is seen as difficult, and it will be important to develop existing teams and motivate them to make changes.
Furthermore, digitization is not uniformly implemented, and managers must be able to move between different information platforms while also learning how to use new ones.
Digitization will lead to reductions in the total number of staff and changes to competence requirements, and managers will have to adapt to increasingly rapid changes and a more international/global perspective.
