Real change in how managers work

Assessit has developed and implemented a module-based leadership development program over four courses that aims to strengthen leadership capacity at Making Waves. The program was developed and implemented in close cooperation with internal staff at Making Waves. In 2016, the program was also organized for the Polish part of the organization, in Krakow. In addition to the program modules, Assessit has delivered customized training sessions which have consisted of coaching techniques, feedback training, and influence psychology. Leadership development has now moved into the everyday work environment. Assessit observes and trains the managers in how to conduct 1:1 meetings between managers and their subordinates.

The program has received consistently high scores. The management team now has a common management platform with tools and principles that a significant portion of the managers have internalized. Managers say that the leadership development has led to real changes in how they perceive their own leadership role and how they work as managers.
